2025 Cub Scout In Person Day Camp
Invention Convention
What is it? “Invention Convention” is a fun filled themed Cub Scout Day Camp being offered in Broward County at Camp Elmore. Activities include Scout Skills, STEM Activities, Archery, Arts & Crafts, BB Gun Target Shooting, Land Sports, Special Guests, Daily Programs, Conservation Programs and much, much more. Scouts will have a blast as they explore the great Outdoor World!
When? Day Camp Hours are 8:30 AM- 4:30 PM. Before & Aftercare available
Where?
- June 09-13, 2025 – Camp Elmore- Davie (Monday-Friday)
1st Grade Tiger Scouts MUST have an adult partner with them at camp all week per BSA guidelines!
Supervision? The Pack should assist and provide leadership and adult supervision for their Cub Scouts who attend Day Camp, parents provide transportation to and from the camps. It is recommended that packs have at least one registered adult leader attend camp for every five to six Cub Scouts. Adults must complete Youth Protection Training and Hazardous Weather (both free online).
Cost? Take advantage of Early Bird Rates! Registration opens January 15th
Registration Fee: (includes a patch, t-shirt, and all program materials):
$140 per week if paid by March 15th, 2025………………… Save $ 110 per week
$175 per week if paid by April 15th, 2025…………….. Save $ 75 per week
$200 per week if paid by May 15th, 2025………………. Save $ 50 per week

Cub Scouts receive a patch, t-shirt (2 FREE SHIRTS IF REGISTERED EARLY by May 15th!), and all program materials with their registration fee. Cub Scouts are expected to wear their camp t-shirt every day during camp. Extra shirts may be purchased for an additional fee during the registration process. Day Camp Patches, T-Shirts and sizes are not guaranteed for any registrations received after May 15th, 2025
Refunds?
A full refund of ALL fees paid fees except $ 40 is fully refundable if requested before May 15th. The first $ 40 of each registration is NON REFUNDABLE.
No Refunds are available after May 15th if a Scout cancels or does not attend, but fees paid are transferable to another Cub Scout attending for this Cub Day Camp-The replacement Scouts t-shirt size is not guaranteed for this replacement Scout – Transfer can occur if requested via e-mail and confirmed two days in advance of the first morning of camp to
All approved refunds that are requested timely are processed minus the associated credit card fees charged for he Council to accept the payment online, and then any fees charged for us to return your transaction, plus a refund processing fee. ALL Refunds are completed no earlier than at least two weeks after Day Camp ends
EARN A FREE WEEK OF DAY CAMP BY SELLING CAMP CARDS! WOW Ask your District Executive or Pack Leader for more details. Use your Camp Card commission to pay for your Cub Day Camp. Our Council Camp Card Chair can help you if your Pack is not selling Camp Cards and you still want to earn a FREE week of Day Camp by selling the Camp Card. Earn up to a 50% Commission to use for Day Camp. EXAMPLE— If you only sell 58 Camp Cards for $ 5 each and you can get up to 50% that could equal a total commission of $ 145- One Week of Day Camp at the Early Bird Price is only $ 140. Make sure your Pack is selling Camp Cards.
A Sibling Discount for more than one registered and attending Cub Scout sibling living in the same home is available. $ 25 will be refunded back to the family for the second paid sibling registration after the 2025 Cub Scout Day Camp
A Pack Discount is available. if at least 40% of your Cub Scout Pack’s total enrolled Cub Scouts (on May 31, 2024), Register, pay for and attend 2025 Cub Scout Day Camp- then $ 25 per each Cub Scout attending will be refunded back to the Pack to distribute to families who attended after Cub Scout Day Camp for each Cub Scout.

Cub Scouts should be registered individually for Cub Day Camp.
We also may have some limited funds available through Camperships from the Order of the Arrow-to supplement your Camp Card Sales and help you partially pay for Cub Scout Day Camp– Camperships will not be more than half of the Early Bird Price for Cub Scout Day Camp. This allows our Scouts to be thrifty and ” earn their own way to camp”.

Registration: Pre- Registration can be done online until May 15th. Online Registration online closes on May 15th. Registration can then ONLY be completed with a paper registration form -if space is available. All registrations must be received online by the deadlines to qualify for discounts. Registrations online can be modified, so save your password. www.sfcbsa.org .
BSA Medical Form parts A and B must be filled out for each child attending day camp, and can be found online, or are available at each camp’s pre camp meeting. If you are volunteering at one of our Day Camps, you will need to fill out the BSA Medical Form as well.
Registration opens by January 15th
TIGERS– Scouts going into FIRST Grade in August 2025 must attend all week with a parent or adult guardian. They may not attend alone- the adult MUST attend..
Lions-incoming kindergartners August 2025-may NOT attend- they can look forward to attending next year at Tigers.
Register your Scout for the grade that they are entering in the fall (August 2025) at school. Do not register Scouts for the grade they are in now. Example—if your Scout will be a 1st grader register them as a Tiger. if they will be a 2nd grader register them as a Wolf, if your Scout will be a 3rd grader register them as a Bear, if they will be a 4th grader register them as a Webelos, if your Scout will be a 5th grader register them as a AOL, if your Scout is entering 6th grade in August, they may not attend and should be in a Scouts BSA Summer Camp with their troop, not in Cub Scout Day Camp.
CAMP HOURS: Day Camps run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday- Friday
BEFORE and AFTER Care: Early Bird-Before Care runs from 8:00 to 8:30 am, and after care runs from 4:30 to 5:00 pm for the Day Camp . Only $ 30 until April 30th, 2025. If registered after April 30th and before May 15th- it is $50 for Before and Aftercare at the Cub Day Camp
After May 15th –Walk In Before and After Care- If Available $ 70 per Scout

VOLUNTEERS
We need YOU! Choose the amount of time you volunteer – 1/2 a day, 1 day or up to all 5 days.
- Adults & Pack Leaders – will receive a FREE staff T-shirt and a $25 rebate after camp on their Cub Scouts’ paid registration fee IF volunteering all 5 days of camp.
- Youth from Troops, Crews, Ships, Posts will earn service hours, an event patch, and a staff t-shirt. Per New Scouting America rules, youth volunteers must to be 14 yrs or older. Youth 11-13 may volunteer, but they MUST have a parent or an adult leader from their unit with them at all times during the camp.
- ALL volunteers MUST register as Camp Staff with Scouting America before May 15th. If you are currently registered at the unit, district or Council level, the camp staff registration will be considered a multiple registration and there is no charge. If you are not currently registered in Scouting America, there will be a $25 charge to register as Camp Staff which will include a background check.

Here are some ways you can help:
- Teach a craft or Scouting skill.
- Help with check-in during the mornings.
- Run Errands for the director.
- Pick up-deliver ice each morning- help keep water igloos full for the Scouts in areas.
- Help promote Day Camp during the Spring to units to encourage participation as participants or volunteers.
- Run the target range at camp (FREE training provided).
- Work in the Waterfront- some training required
- Be the Health Officer (Specific Certifications Required).

Volunteers also must fill out a medical form (see link in the attachment section of this page) and have a current Youth Protection Training certificate on file at camp. Register to be a volunteer at Day Camp during the registration process for your Cub Scout and help make Day Camp an unparalleled experience for you and your Scout!
Volunteers must be registered in Scouting America either in a unit, or as Camp Staff.
