Cub Fun Day “Mad Science”
Volunteer Youth and Adult Registration (you MUST be 13 years old or older to volunteer OR your parent MUST volunteer with you)
What is it? “Mad Science ” is a fun filled -themed Cub Fun Day being offered in three different locations in Monroe, Miami Dade and Broward Counties on October 2, 2021. Activities include Scout Skills, Archery, Arts & Crafts (Rocket Building), BB Gun Shooting, Land Sports, Model Rocket Shooting, Special Guests, Full Day of Programs, and much, much more. Cub Scouts sign up for one of the three different camp locations as they explore Rocketry with their family! Volunteer Staff will assist in the above areas shown, as well as assisting with set up/break down and lunch.
When ? Set up and break down will occur before and after Fun Day and help will be needed. Volunteer start time is 7:30 AM and we should be done by 3:30 PM.
Cub Fun Day Hours for the Participants are 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM.
Where? Volunteer at one of these two locations:

- Camp Owaissa Bauer (Miami Dade County ) 17001 SW 264th St, Homestead, FL 33031
Training Required: All Adults must complete Youth Protection Training to work at Cub Fun Day . Any Youth may take this free Online training as well if desired. All Area position assignments are determined by the Cub Fun Day Location Director
Food? All Volunteers will receive pizza lunch on Saturday (no other meals). Water is available all day to all Staff.
COVID: All Current CDC and County or State Covid procedures will be adhered to at time of event. these will be updated online one month prior and updated as needed.
No one may attend:
Who has COVID-19, or COVID-19 symptoms. Or who is feeling sick.
Who has a temperature over 100 degrees.
Who has been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms in 14 days
Transportation: All Staff must provide their own transportation
Camping: Camping for One Night or Two Nights are available for $ 5 per night. This does not include any meals or camping/cooking gear.
All YOUTH camping MUST be accompanied/supervised at all times by an Adult Parent or Unit Leader also camping overnight.
Service Hours: Will be given if requested for School or Units at the conclusion of Cub Fun Day by the Cub Fun Day Location Director
Refunds: No Refunds will be given- Fees paid may be transferred to another Cub Fun Day volunteer prior to September 28th. Contact the Staff Advisor.
