Direct Contact Leader Outdoor Training
What is it?
A course for all Cub Scout leaders, Den leaders, Active Parents and Committee member to help plan and carry out any outdoor adventure for your Den or Pack including pack camping overnighters. BALOO Training has been updated to give every Cub Scout leader a more practical hands-on component off skills used to deliver Cub Scout adventures. The new program is now a TWO (2) DAY PROGRAM WITH OVERNIGHT CAMPING. You will learn the focus of Cub Scout-level outdoor adventure program, acquire the skills to comfortably all outdoor adventures, and increase your knowledge of the resources available to you.
In addition to taking the weekend course On-Line BALOO training is necessary for all direct contact leaders registered in Cub Scout Packs will be considered “trained”.
Online Pre-requisites – www.My.Scouting.org (take online before course) Please print completed certificates and bring to course.

Cost? $25.00 includes 2 lunches, one dinner, one breakfast and training materials, and all the FUN you can possible handle in one day.
Registration is online now through April 10, 2019. NOON
Date? Saturday, April 13 and Sunday 14, 2019
Who? Cub Scout Leaders and parents attending Pack Campouts.
When? Saturday– 8 AM – Sunday 4 PM
Where? Castellow Hammock Preserve & Nature Center

Registration? Pre-registration is required. Complete online registration before Friday, April 10th, noon
Sign in on April 14th, at 7 AM till 8 AM 11/10/18- Course starts at 8 AM
Or you may use the UPDATE FLYER Spring 2019 SFC South Training – BALOO and register at South Florida Council prior to Friday, April 5th at noon.
Insurance: Liability, as well as Sickness and Accident Insurance, are provided for all registered members and leaders of the South Florida Council.
Bring? Tent, Sleeping Bag, sturdy shoes, change of clothes, sleeping attire, mess kit, drink canister, soap, washcloth, towel, sunglasses, camp chair, camera, notebook, pen or pencil, coat or jacket, cap, gloves, cot or sleeping pad or mattress.
