Climbing Merit Badge Program

Register for a day of climbing instruction at Camp Elmore, led by certified COPE and Climbing Instructors.

Date: Saturday, April 24, 2027

Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm

Location: Camp Elmore – 3551 Boy Scout Road (SW 142 Avenue), Davie, FL 33330 (Meet instructors in the Camp Elmore Main Parking Lot.)

Registration opens: January 1, 2027

Early bird fee: $25 per Scout until March 28, 2027

Registration closes April 18, 2027, or when class is full

Who can register:

Open to currently registered Scouting America members and Venturers. Cub Scouts, including AOL/Webelos, are NOT eligible.

18 participants maximum per session and per day. Limit of 3 Scouts per unit. Only the first three-unit registrations will be accepted; additional registrants will be moved to the next Climbing Merit Badge event or refunded at our discretion. Communicate with your Unit.

Advance registration and South Florida Council confirmation are required. No walk-ins.

The fee includes equipment, supplies, camp use fees, and pizza lunch. Water is available all day. Scouts may bring a nonperishable lunch; no discount applies.

Before you arrive:

• Bring the Scout’s BSA medical form and an adult emergency contact’s information.
• Wear an activity uniform (Class B) or other appropriate clothing specified after registration.
• Parents must check in each Scout before leaving. Drop-off is allowed only after staff receive and check the medical form and emergency contact information.

Health requirements:

Stay home if you are not feeling well or have any contagious illness. This applies to participants and anyone entering Camp Elmore, including those transporting or accompanying Scouts.

Cancellations and transfers:

(No refunds for Scout cancellations or for scout no-shows):

Fees may be transferred to another eligible Scout for this same date, and event, if  and   are both notified 24 hours prior to start time of activity via e-mail. Fees may not be transferred to a future or different event.
