2027 Wood Badge Training
Wood Badge is the highest level and most exciting training program for adult Scout Leaders and professionals in all program areas.
The Wood Badge experience comes with decades of Scouting knowledge, a skilled and helpful staff, and a guided tour through the Scouting program. You will learn how to be a better leader, manage conflict, and develop your adult and youth leaders so they can effectively plan projects and achieve objectives. The first section is practical training which takes place in a camp setting; during this portion of the course you will learn and practice a variety of leadership skills. During the second portion, you will apply your newly acquired skills to complete the five goals of your choosing.

WHEN & WHERE
Course Weekend 1 — February 5th- February 7th, 2027 (Fri – Sun) Camp Elmore
Course Weekend 2 — February 20th-21st, 2027 (Sat – Sun) Camp Everglades
Arrival for the first day of each weekend is 7:30 a.m. Departure on the last day of each weekend is 5 p.m. Attendance is required at both three day weekends. Attendance at both weekends, all sessions, all hours is required to complete the course. Participants may NOT miss any days or sessions. You must have completed all adult leader training for your current primary registered position in Scouting before the first day of this course. A current BSA Annual Health and Medical Record, parts A, B, and C is also required.
COURSE FEE/DEPOSIT/ ”Early Bird” DISCOUNT
The cost of this course is $ 290 per person. A NON refundable –deposit of $100 is due with the reservation. Full payment is due by January 3rd, 2027. The cost of this course covers all materials, meals, program supplies, and recognition items. The course is limited to 48 paid participants. Course includes one (1) WB Course t-shirt, additional may be purchased. Your shirt size will be requested when you complete the registration questions.
An Early Bird Discount is being offered to scouters who pay in full by December 17th, 2026. The cost to these Early Birds is $ 260.00, a savings of $ 30.00.
Cancellation Policy: $ 100 Deposits are transferrable to another person accepted in the same 2027 Wood Badge Course, but NOT REFUNDABLE! All course fees must be paid in full by January 3rd, 2027. No refund of any course fees are available after December 17th, 2026, if a registered participant withdraws from the course. Be aware that any unpaid spaces that are being held with only a deposit after December 17th, 2026, can be made available to those on the Wait List.

When the Wood Badge Course is FULL. We will start a Wait List. Even if your deposit or payment is accepted online you may be placed on the Wait List, depending on when your payment is made. You will be informed if you are in the Wood Badge Course or the Wait List once your registration is accepted. All applications are conditional until accepted and confirmed by the Staff Advisor and Course Director.
All Wait List -$ 100 deposits will be refunded once the course can no longer accept registrations and course begins if you do not get into the course. Once a applicant is moved form the Wait List, into the 2027 Wood Badge Course Roster– the fee is then non refundable and all above finance policies apply.
Please understand-there is NO GUARANTEE of getting into the 2027 Wood Badge Course from the WAIT LIST. To our best available capabilities-we will try to assist all applicants to get into all available spaces up until the date of the course .
