“Big Toe” Hike of the Barefoot Mailman

What? The South Florida Council will mark the 19th Anniversary of the BIG-TOE Hike of the Barefoot Mailman.  This 12-mile day-hike, along portions of the historic trails walked by the Barefoot Mailmen of the late 1800’s, provides opportunities for Cub Scouts, Webelos and young Boy Scouts to learn and practice hiking skills while hiking a portion of a Historic Trail Hike.  Like the Barefoot Mailmen, participants in the hike are to maintain self-sufficiency (except water) as they hike the trail.

Who? Participants must be a registered Cub, Webelos or Boy Scout, or registered adult.  Each Unit registering Scouts must register at least one adult hiker*.

Where? Haulover Beach Park: 10800 Collins Ave, Miami Beach FL 33154 to South Beach, Miami Beach.

This event is not refundable for cancellations – it is transferrable to another Scout before the start of the hike.
